In the truest sense, members of the Board of Trustees and Board of Advisors are advocates, ambassadors and advisers to the school. As a group, they volunteer hundreds of hours of service to YingHua each year.
The Board of Trustees consists of five members, all of who have official votes.
Dr. Bonnie Liao received her Ph.D. in Physics from University of Houston and an MBA in Financial & Information Technology. After working for a large financial firm as VP of Management Science for almost 10 years, she taught math at a top private prep school in New Jersey for two years. For the past 7 years, she has been the Principal & Trustee of YingHua Language School, which she founded in May 2002 teaching 200 students the Chinese language on Sunday afternoons at the campus of Rider University. YingHua Language is the first community-based school accredited by CSS at Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. She has also initiated and designed the "YingHua in Beijing" Summer Language & Leadership Institute providing learning opportunities to American youth ages 8 to 17 who spend a month in China. She has been the Director of the program since 2004. In May 2007, she founded YingHua Day School as one of the first Chinese-English dual language school in the nation combining language immersion with the inquiry-based curricula of the International Baccalaureate Organization.
年任华夏普兰斯堡分校家长会会员，参与多项校务工作，极其热心于帮助提高学校学生的中文教育水平。2001年秋在普兰斯堡分校促成第一个“马立平直接认字法”试点班，该班效果显著。
