We had a delicious
week this week. On Monday, Liu Laoshi whipped up flour and made noodles with
the students. On Tuesday, Zhang Laoshi prepared fresh ingredient for everyone
to make hamburgers. On Wednesday, Zhang Laoshi enchanted us all with sushi
rolls (with cooked ingredient), and on
Thursday, Hong Laoshi had everyone working hard on making dumplings. Some
students gave up their lunch for the food of the day; one girl consumed 6
dumplings and still asked for more!
The end-of-summer celebration
has been rescheduled to 11:30 am on Friday, 8/31, to accommodate everyone’s
schedule. On that day, families do not need to prepare lunch for the kids as we
will order pizza for everyone. I know all students have been working really
hard to prepare for the big day – I can’t wait to see them in action! We will
have a great time. Hope to see you all there!

在老师们的精心准备下，本周每天都有惊喜：星期一，刘老师带来了面条机，教孩子和面粉、压面条；星期二，张老师教孩子们做汉堡包；星期三，张老师跟孩子一起动手做寿司，连最不尝新的孩子也要试试寿司的味道；星期四，洪老师精心准备了饺子馅，和刘老师一起手把手地从和面、擀面、到包馅，教孩子们包饺子。孩子们每天面条、包子、饺子吃得津津有味，自家带的午饭都顾不上吃了！
